A WYCOMBE student with cerebral palsy has won praise after working on a film which featured in a London film festival.
More than 100 people attended the screening of 'Sports Dance' at Southwark Film Festival, which Bucks New University student Asa Marshal helped produce with the Signdance theatre group.
The film “uses a fly-on-the-wall technique to illustrate the dedication that bonds both athletes and dancers with or without disabilities”.
Asa, 22, a music production student who lives on Desborough Road, said: “I am a very shy person and being involved in these films has been an amazing experience.
“Working with Signdance has without doubt opened up new avenues for me, and really changed my life.”
Jane Jutsum, of Leonard Cheshire Disability, which hosted the festival, said: “I am so proud and inspired by our young filmmakers who are committed to overcoming the odds to make their movie succeed.”
