Hi Mike and Dave

Got back from hol yesterday, so now going through my mail.

1.Having had years just working from home, I've found that face to face interaction with other artists at the centre has given me knowledge of marketing opportunities I'd not considered before. Also discussing techniques and exchanging ideas and practices has been beneficial.

2.There's been an abundance of info e-mailed my way, but most of it not suited to my business model or family lifestyle. When I move more into the commercial sector, rather than solely domestic portraiture, then It would be more useful. There has been notification of display space/exhibition opportunities some of which I've taken up, which generated a small return.

3.None that have materialised. Eg Indirectly through "attending an event" (BOS2011) Eddie Kent's friend who rents out artwork to businesses may yet be a useful line as I produce more suitable pieces.

Also, thanks guys for all the friendly encouragement and hard work you put in to running the Centre.

Ali

Thank you so much for the comments and your ongoing support for the centre

Are you free to exhibit at the centre for the Fusions Festival on 25th and 26th October?

Hi

1. I haven't so much acquired knowledge or skills, but I've gathered some practical experience of mounting an exhibition and planning and running events.

2. I have definitely met many people through my involvement at the Centre.

3. The opportunities that have arisen have mostly been collaborations with different people I have met at the Centre.

I hope this helps. Thanks for all your efforts to bring the Centre to life.

Regards, Mariko

Hi Mike

1. Whilst I was reviewing my career options/next steps, I benefited from spening time at the Centre on the occasional Wednesday morning - inspiurational and motivational. I identified next step/s and tiook them! "Pack types" was really useful.

2. The specific sessions that covered use of Social Media/Internet etc and CV construction & use - excellent. Made personal connections from people/info/business cardfs available on site.

3. New opportunity/ies? Yes, without doubt. Attending the Centre & meeting people there was instrumental in springboarding my next career steps....thanks.

1. Yes, I have acquired new skills and knowledge by attending the centre.  This has been mainly through Made in Wycombe where we learnt everything from video interviewing throw to building a chair arch. Main benefits have been team building and working with others with different skill sets.

2. Yes, I have attended other activities at the centre such as concerts, blues kitchens and networking events.

3. Yes, mainly more volunteering.

1. New Skills and knowledge have been acquired through attendance at Enterprise Wednesdays and Enterprise events, and Arts Saturdays drumming workshops

2. Attending events at the Centre has made me aware of other activities and opportunities. This has included music events and opportunities for volunteering

3. Meeting new people at the different events has led to opportunities to work on different projects. For example, looking at ideas to run more activities for younger people and engaging younger up and coming musicians

I ambled along to the Arts Centre Writers' Group in October 2012 to see what was what. I brought my poems along because it was a writers' group but when a couple of weeks later it included song writing I brought my guitar along and that was what I had really wanted. We discussed the possibility of a monthly show and so we organised and put them on. I had neither organised nor hosted a show before and so I gained those valuable experiences.

I have met and worked with so many talented singers, songwriters, poets and other creative people over the weeks and it has, largely, been a positive experience.

At the moment I am collaborating with photographer Neil Marshment. He provides the photographs and I supply the relevant songs. The results of this will be making themselves known pretty soon. I am also working on some songs with fellow singer/songwriter Clarissa James. Again, the results will soon be evident. Soon I shall be recording one of the Photo-inspired songs in the Arts Centre's recording studio with Mike Watson at the controls, which is fitting as he introduced us in the first place.

I would recommend the Centre to anyone who has the creative urge. There will be an appropriate group and if there isn't, you can set one up yourself!

I came to arts4every1 with quite a few strings to my bow. I have been able to get my feet wet with event planning and exhibitions. I have gain more confidence in my abilities and found I was able to give advice as well as learn a lot. I'm currently in the final stages of planning a fashion show along with arts4every1. I'm also hoping to exhibit my photography at the fusion festival .

1) By meeting other songwriters I have picked up a few of their tricks and been inspired by their comments.

2) I have met musicians outside of the songwriters group, poets, film makers and caterers.

3) I gained the opportunity to hone my performance skill from nothing to approaching mediocrity.

I have been an active volunteer for quite a while now and have learned so much and met so many wonderful people.

I have gained lots of knowledge about running my business and using LinkedIn through the Enterprise Wednesday meetings. I am now so much more confident about going on stage and singing at the ARTSaturday events and have enjoyed being a barmaid at the Blues Kitchen and other events!

I have attended a wide variety of gigs, concerts, theatrical performances and workshops which have all been inspiring.

The Arts Centre has been such an inspiration and given me so much back. There is so much on offer for anyone who wants to nurture their creativity and meet like-minded people. Thank you Arts4every1
