Our scheduled talk by Philip Moriarty this month has been cancelled. We apologise for having to cancel so soon after having advertised it, but Philip found out he would be travelling to India on that day. We will be inviting him to speak next year in the Spring/Summer, so keep an eye on our meetup page for that!
So instead we want to do something a bit different and celebrate what has happened so far in the history of Wycombe Skeptics with a party, and look forward to next year as well. It would be wonderful if you could join us on the 15th, the bar will be open, nachos and hot dogs will be on sale there will be all sorts of fun things happening on the night!
We will also be saying goodbye to Paul Hargrove, the founder of Wycombe Skeptics, who is moving to New Zealand in a few weeks, he will be missed in Wycombe and we wanted to make sure he has a great send off!
Join us from 8pm!
This is a free talk hosted by Wycombe Skeptics. A cash bar is available, and everyone is welcome, whatever your views!
Skeptics in the Pub is a place for inquisitive people of all ages to meet and converse in the High Wycombe area.
Skeptics are people who yearn to discover the truth behind extraordinary claims that people or groups may make, this can be in areas of alternative therapies, the paranormal, religion and faith, the afterlife or many other areas of life.
We make no claims to balance, and actively promote science, freedom of expression and secular humanism. This means we often end up talking about superstition, religious fundamentalism, censorship and conspiracy theory.
You are welcome to come along and just sit and listen to others, or if you are braver get stuck right in!
