Anne Marie

My music reflects my French origin. It tells a story. It has passion. The lyrics are very close to my heart as many come from my own personal experiences.

Lorraine

Oh but to dance

into the sky

and catch a feather in my eye

and to sleep

beside the moon

where I can watch the twilight rise . . .

Continuously seeking and discovering, I hope that my integration of music, vocals, and movement, may inspire a special radiance that lives within you, when you experience my very mysterious performances. I’m just an eclectic soul, with the heart of a child . . .

Sloth  In The City

In the city, it’s nice to slow down. You’ll always find smiles, hear melodies and smell scents; there is always something calling for you, waiting to be observed, which you would have ignored if you went past it at the pace that the city commands. Those are the moments that make our lives in the cities most precious. The best we hope for our art is to be one of those moments for you; the swung waltz heard at just the right time, the lyrics evoking that wide smile still lingering  in your mind, the impressions you want to share with us and everyone around you. Humbly, nicely, and between friends.  We’ve been trying to find our way as sloths in the cities around the world for the best part of thirty years, and we’ve been partners in doing so for just over one. Betty’s saxophone after years of classical training is eager to explore all the avenues of jazz and beyond.  Andrea’s guitar is quite the opposite; nearly literally beaten up by playing all the edgiest genres, it is now keen to go back to folk and rhythms.  Please listen to us and let us try to engage your curiosity, it’s what we love the most.
